General information

The use of hypofractionated schedules in Proton Therapy is rapidly increasing. Their application has several advantages like the reduction of either overall treatment time or direct and indirect costs, the improvement of the patients’ quality of life, and the increase of the overall system capacity. In the era of “green treatments” and a still limited number of Proton Therapy facilities worldwide, these benefits could translate into more sustainable and fair management of the available resources.

The aim of the present webinar is to highlight radiobiological bases and clinical applications of hypofractionated Proton Therapy in daily clinical practice in order to offer an updated review of the literature as well as results of clinical experiences provided by experts in the field.
