First experience with model-based selection of head and neck cancer patients for proton therapy.

Executive summary

This study reported the first experience in model-based selection of HNC patients in the Netherlands. 227 patients were included in this study. 80 (35%) patients were eventually selected for proton therapy. Most patients were selected based on the ΔNTCP for dysphagia-related toxicities.
